ahh yes - another whack ass day at the dayjob followed by what likely will be another whack ass show. and the only single fool i have to blame is myself. and i stil haven't heard back from the Bolt. and that's basically all i'm living for. keep yr fingers crossed for us. easy as that. oh yeah - my boyah Cam One flies in from Chi-town tomorrow afternnon for a week... so yeah, that'll be good times. come check us on the UNOs y DOSs this thursday & saturday night. should be pretty nice |

didn't set my alarm last night, ended up sleeping 'til 1045am... and i'm supposed to be at work no later than 10am. boss sent stern email letting me know how whack i am... like i didn't already know that. ended up talking to allison, called to let her know that i most likely wouldn't be able to meet her in Providence, RI next week for The Shins. then... same ol' shit, mostly just me & my feedback loop. did not go too well. although i think i ended on an up-note for a change. after that - i guess my co-worker Joran passed out in the bathroom or something... went to the hospital and was diagnosed with an ulcer. i guess that kid his wife and he are gonna have any minute now is stressin' him out? poor bastard. anyway - so yeah - work was fucking nuts as a result... as i was flying solo. didn't get any aes >>> shit done at all. which is turning into a trend that i really really really can't stand. wish i had the balls to just do the damn thang. we'll see. now it's almost 930pm and i'm still here at the planet... after laboring over a print ad for the last couple of hours. i just hope it prints nice. we'll see. probably gonna go meet delach to pick up some posters. probably'll end up drinking more beer than i should. we'll see.

hopefully, one day soon, i'm gonna learn to ignore the haters... today is NOT that day. i aint even gonna mention names, but there's a local dude that wants to start drama & i really couldn't be less into that idea. this kid sent me an email telling me how shitty & unprofessional i am... then proceeded to post a huge bulletin on myspace titled "FUCK AESTHETICIZED". he then sent me a lengthy email telling me how i don't care about music, how i'm an oppressive & monopolizing promoter, how it's my responsibility to nurture his career slash following, et cetera, etc. holy crap - it'd almost be funny if it wasn't so ignorant, overblown, flagrant, tact-less, backwards, etc. i don't know - i guess i'm posting it here because i don't want to reply directly to him but want some some feedback from others. the thing is - this kid is scheduled to perform at an upcoming show... and i'm torn. should i just tell him to go fuck himself... or what? i don't know. i do know... that he's really hurt my feelings, even if he thinks it isn't personal. it really bums me out, as i work & have worked long & hard to contribute to this community... just to have some snot-nosed kid (whose music is actually quite promising) shit on me. fucking sucks. oh well. |
